Pet360 to Acquire Austin-based PetsMD

Pet360, a leading Pet ecommerce, community and information company, today signed a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Austin-based PetsMD for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition of this pet health information and care resource site reinforces Pet360’s position as a leading provider of comprehensive, all-inclusive online information for pet owners and pet services providers.

The acquisition includes PetsMD features and capabilities, including a library of online clinical information, it’s web-based pet Symptom Checker and iPhone application. Pet360 plans to integrate PetsMD content to its consumer-facing sites to strengthen Pet360’s online network. These are all expected to be added to Pet360’s extensive set of capabilities over the next 90 days.
